April President's Message
Greetings fellow PHnw members,
Spring is a great time of year when we (hopefully) start to dry off during the longer days and have a chance to think about the busy summer season to come. It is also a time to reflect on the terrific events during the first few months of the year.
The PHnw annual conference, held the last week of March in Olympia, was just such a terrific event. The conference was a success by every measure and afforded us all a chance to connect with other practitioners and high performance building enthusiasts. It was great to have attendees from Olympia, Portland, and Seattle as usual, and even a few that travelled across the mountains to take advantage of all the conference had to offer.
The conference made it even more evident the technology underpinning Passive House improves quality, speeds up delivery, and brings down costs of design and construction. This reality underscores the need to continue our work encouraging policy changes to make it easier to take advantage of the benefits of Passive House. Thank you again for joining us on our journey toward a carbon-free future!
