NAPHN15 Conference

October 1-2, Vancouver, BC

Following the success of NAPHN 2014, this year’s event will bring together a global community of Passive House designers, builders, suppliers, government officials and policy analysts in the City of Glass on the Pacific.

The conference promises a world-class program of presentations, courses, meetings and social events that will focus on three main streams:

    Passive House for Beginners
    Advanced Passive House Technical Solutions
    Regulatory and Policy Making

Passive House experts from around the world will be sharing their knowledge and experience of building to the Passive House standard in all building types and climates, and how to overcome the obstacles present in building code and policy.

Vancouver has mandated carbon neutral new buildings by 2020 and currently accepts Passive House as an alternative to LEED certification in rezoning and development approvals.

Several Passive House projects are under construction and building permit applications for two large mixed-use buildings are currently being filed. Post-conference tours in Vancouver and Whistler/Pemberton will showcase Passive House projects including a prefabrication plant and a public recreation facility.

Come back soon to register for tours and to check out our course and workshop schedule.
