Thanks to a Federal Grant, Certified Passive House Consultant Tessa Smith, and a host of others, along with Thurston County, There is a draft document circulating Thurston County that clears the way for Passive House and other green building method permit applications. EBN (Environmental Building News) has published an article about Passive House in its April 2010 issue. It’s a pretty good introduction for those who haven’t yet heard about PH, and it even features Seattle’s (and PHnw’s) own Dan Whitmore, who is currently building the city’s first Passive House building, as you probably already know.
